My Magazine Cover

Hey guys,

For this weeks post, I thought I would share with you all something I created. In my media class at school, we were asked to create a magazine cover, contents page and article. I was really happy with how these turned out and thought I would share them with you all. To create these I used Photoshop. It was just a school project that I really enjoyed doing.
Hope you guys like them too. (You wont be able to read the article because it's to small, but maybe one day i'll post the whole thing. Also these are my own work, however the images used on them are not. If for some strange reason you would like to use my work, please ask first.)

Hope you like my work. I was really happy with how it turned out.

Makeup Tag

Hey guys,

This week I decided to do a makeup tag. I found this tag from Here. The blog is called BeautyaAndLouise and it's one of my favorite blogs to read. You should go check it out.

1. When did you start putting on makeup?

When I was 11. It was just mascara.

2. How did you learn to put on makeup?

Mostly myself, online tutorials and makeup books.

3. Favorite Brand?

Maybelline New York for makeup, Revlon for nail polish.

4. Do you like wearing foundation & if so, which do you use?

I only wear foundation for special occasions or if i'm having a bad face day (pimples!!) 

I use Maybelline New York Fit Me! in 230

5. Favorite lipstick, lip-gloss and lip liner?

I only wear lip gloss because I am a bit young for lipstick. I don't really have a favorite one

6. Do you like/wear false lashes? If yes, strip or individual?

I don't, but if I had to i'd go strip. Individual looks too confusing!

7. Favorite eye shadow colour?

I like wearing earthy colours or neutrals.

8. What’s your favorite daytime look?

Very natural. Concealer, eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss.

9. Do you have a makeup collection:

Yes, I have a lot of makeup, most of it I don't use.

10. Favorite makeup brush?

Don't really have one

11. Do you like wearing bronzer?

In summer I do.

12. Favorite mascara?

Which ever one i'm using. I always have a new favorite 

13. Where do you keep your makeup?

My everyday makeup is in my makeup draw in my wardrobe. My spares are in a box on my top shelf of my wardrobe.

14. Favorite YouTube guru(s)?

Zoella and Sprinkle of Glitter 

15. Do you wear blush?

Only on special occasions, otherwise just a light one.

16. Do you copy any of the celebrity’s makeup?

No.

17. Favorite makeup artist?

Not sure. I don't really know any

18. What’s your favorite night time look?

Smokey eye or any eye shadow and some lip colour.

19. Favorite concealer?

Maybelline New York Super Stay Concealer 24HR in Deep beige. 

20. Favorite eye shadow primer?

I don't use one.

21. Where do you buy your makeup?

Online or if I find discounted ones in store.

22. Favorite toner?

Witch Hazel .

23. Favorite eye shadow palette and blush palette?

Just my cheap quad ones.

24. Which do you like: cream, matte, powder, sheer, or shimmer eye shadows?

matte all the way. or any one that isn't sparkly.

25. Favorite eyeliner?

Avon eyeliners (Don't know the real names)

26. Do you wear makeup everyday?

If im going out of the house. At home then no.

27. Favorite powder?

Nutrimetics powder. (Don't know the real name)

28. Favorite makeup remover?

Face wipes and my cleanser.

30. Would you go somewhere without wearing makeup?

Yeah, depending where it is.

Photography Time!

Hey guys,

You might not know this but I really like taking photos! So I thought for this weeks blog post, I would share some of the recent photos I have taken in my last two holidays. One of the holidays I went on was camping and the other one was a trip to Sydney. They were both good trips, however I liked Sydney more because I got to compare it to Melbourne. (Where i live) 

I'm also going to add some photos of when I went to Melbourne City last. These photos are edited so I will tell you witch ones they are.

The camera I used for these photos were a Sony Cyber Shot. I don't know what exact model it is because I pulled the sticker off but I do know that it is 14.1 megapixels. I am looking at buying a DSLR camera, but that is a whole other story.

Sorry there is so many photos but I just wanted to share them all with you guys.

Mothers Day Gift Idea

Hey guys. Its mothers day (soonish)

So it's that time of year and your having trouble coming up with ideas for what you could get mum. Even when you ask her she says nothing, but you can't get her nothing so what do you do?

My friend came up with a good idea that I've stolen and decided to do myself. And that is to get a nice decorative box just from the $2 shop and make a little goody box. Think of it as a beauty box but with anything in it. You could put her favorite sweets, makeup, books, anything really. It doesn't matter what your mum is into, there are always little bits and pieces you can find. (Lets hope my mum does not read this and find out what I got her)

And if you want to do something more, you could treat your mum to a day out. Go to lunch, get a manicure or even take her to see a gold class movie! Even just spending the day with her. I'm sure she will appreciate anything.

Here is what I have put in my mum's little goody bag so far.
Candles
Little makeup travel bag
Scarf (It's underneath everything)
Hand cream
Body butter
Body spray
Chocolate (It's a chocolate cat and my mum loves cats!)

As you may or may not know, I am on Bloglovin'. And because I didn't know what it was at first, I am going to explain it to anyone who doesn't know what Bloglovin' is.

It's a website (and now also available as an app) where you can follow all your favorite blogs and just have them all in the one place. It's really good for organizing the blogs you read and making sure you never miss a post. You can get a daily email which tells you the day's posts and it just makes it a lot easier than going through your saved blogs one by one and seeing if they have updated it.

You can connect your blog on there if you have one and have a profile that shows your posts and followers and all that. I just think it's a really great website and you should go check it HERE!

My New Love: Tangle Teezer

 It finally arrived! I have been waiting for this for a few weeks now. But considering it came from England, two weeks isn't bad.
In case you don't know what a Tangle Teezer is. It's simply a brush. That's it.

Your probably thinking, why would you be excited about a brush? and to be honest i'm not sure.
I heard so many great reviews about it and I had to try it for my self. It's suppose to detangle hair really well, and my hair gets really knotty and I don't usually like brushing it. So I thought if this worked it would be my new love. (Hence the heading. It works!)

I got my Tangle Teezer off www.feelunique.com for $16.32 (Australian dollars) This included postage too, which was a bonus. It was really hard finding a cheap one because not many places sell them in Australia and for the salons that do, it cost $30. So the price I paid is nearly half price.

I got mine in tangerine because it is my favorite colour. However they do come in many other colours. They also come in two different styles, one being a travel one.

$299 Hair Brush...!!

Hey guys,

So today I was flicking through a magazine looking at what new beauty stuff there was in the world where I came across a $299 brush. WHAT....?
This was a bit of a surprise to me as I can't imagine someone buying a $299 brush. Like really who's going to buy one when you buy one for $2.

This brush is called the Mason Pearson Large Hair Brush and it looks exactly like any other brush. So why is it so expensive??? The description says it's the Rolls Royce of hairbrushes and it's still made handmade in London after 100 years. I guess this part is impressive because after 100 years they havn't switched to machines and robots, but seriously, that's nearly $300.


While we are on the topic of unnecessary expensive products, I also found an eyelash curler. This one is much cheaper than the brush but it's still expensive for the product. Well I think it is anyway. It's called the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler and it's $40. For some reason I can picture people buying this but I don't see the point. I mean you can get a cheaper one from a $2 store or Kmart if your in Australia.
If your like me and wondering how it could be so expensive then listen up, it's because it's the original and best one. And it also says that every other one is based on this one. I mean if they are all based on this one wouldn't they all be the same. So to me this doesn't really make sense.
